Mounted Neoregalia Bromeliad
£12.99 Inc. VAT
These Neoregalia are mounted to Cork Bark using Sphagnum Moss
Neoregelias are epiphytic bromeliads suited to use in forest set ups. They are best grown attached to rocks or branches, rather than pots as their roots are used for attachment rather than collecting water or nutrients.
Neoregalias like bright conditions, they need this light to bring out the variegation in their foliage, but they are easily scorched by hot lights. Most of the water and nutrients these plants require are absorbed by the leaves in the centre of the leaf whorl, where it forms a natural bowl. This central cup needs to be regularly filled with water, which will happen naturally with spray systems. The occasional dead insect dropping will decompose to provide nutrients.
